Now Accepting 2026-2027 Head Coaching Applications

The Ottawa West Golden Knights is seeking qualified head coaches to lead our teams for the 2026/27 season for U10, U11, U12, U14, U16, and U18 levels.

Teams will play at each Ottawa B League level, U10 through U18 (player birth years 2017 to 2009).

Interested candidates must have relevant coaching experience and strong leadership skills. We are

looking for coaches who will instill values of hard work, teamwork, discipline, and respect.

Candidates must be strong communicators and have outstanding organizational skills. Coaches should also be ready to help build the program and help strengthen the Golden Knights community.

Your team is expected to participate in: on-ice practices, off-ice workouts, tournaments, team-building events, and community outreach and/or leadership-building activities.

For applicants who will be parent coaches, there must be a reasonable expectation that your player would make the team regardless of coach selection. We also encourage non-parent coaches to apply.

In order to provide OWGK coaches with ample time to source and book tournaments and to allow the Sting tryouts to run their course, OWGK has decided to extend the OWGK coaching application deadline to May 17 ^th at 11:59 pm and begin candidate interviews the week of May 18 ^th ^.

We are aiming to complete the interview process by Monday, May 25th , depending on the number of applicants and applicant availability.

Notes on the Interview Process:

In the past, the interview process has taken 3+ weeks to complete due to candidate availability. Please do your best to accommodate the interview requests, as the entire interview process needs to be completed before the coaches can be approved by the board.
If a candidate submits his application early, we may request an interview prior to May 18 ^th to expedite the process.

Congratulations to the Ottawa West Golden Knights U15 Team on winning gold at the Dunsmuir Memorial Hockey Tournament that took place January 30th Weekend.

Thank you players for your hard work, discipline and perseverance over a tough weekend of hockey and thanks to the coaches, trainers and GK family for your continued encouragement and support this season!
