Tryout Information

Tryouts will be held in early September with Conditioning camps commencing about a week prior. 


Tryout Costs


$100 for players | $0 for goalies 


Conditioning camps will be offered before tryouts begin are offered at the following prices:


$100 for players | $50 for goalies


Additionally, if you do not have a Golden Knights tryout jersey, you must purchase them during the registration process in advance of tryouts at a cost of $45.00 for players and goalies.


Refund policy: A full refund will be offered to players who are successful in making the Ottawa Sting team. Other withdrawals from tryouts will be accepted prior to commencement of tryouts. Refunds will not be provided once tryouts have started.

Each Player Will Receive the Following

Minimum of 2 hours of evaluation

Body Checking Clinic

For players trying out for U14, U15 or U16 who have not previously attended a body checking clinic, it is mandatory to register for this clinic through the process (no additional cost). Players who have not previously attended a body checking clinic will not be eligible to participate in the tryout.

Goalies

1 x 1-hour goalie technical evaluation

Tryout Arrival Process

Players are asked to arrive at the arena one hour in advance of their ice times. At the first try out, please check-in at the front desk.  A Golden Knights representative will take attendance and confirm players’ jersey number or hand out your pre-ordered and pre-paid jersey. The same jersey must be worn for all tryouts.
